The Savoy was awarded Best Hotel in the UK at the prestigious Ultratravel Awards which recognizes the 100 finest things in luxury travel, as chosen by their readers.

Expansión Magazine - Super Empresas – 2012
Fairmont Mayakoba took home a top prize as one of the 2012 Super Companies with between 500 and 3,000 employees.Acknowledged for their internal training, partnerships and flexibility, the hotel was named #3 of 132 companies.

Travel + Leisure – 100 World’s Best Hotels - 2012
In 2011, two of Fairmont’s hotels and resorts secured a place amongst the 100 World’s Best Hotels as determined by readers of Travel + Leisure magazine.The Fairmont Mara Safari Club was named #20 on the magazine’s prestigious listing and Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club ranked #46 with Fairmont The Norfolk taking#12 spot among Top City Hotels in Africa and the Middle East. Scoring amongst the Top Resorts in Canada are The Fairmont Chateau Whistler at #5, The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise at #6, and Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu which took #8 spot. Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City, The Fairmont Empress in Victoria and Fairmont Hotel Vancouver placed #4, #7 and #10 respectively.  The Fairmont Kean Lani was ranked #11 for Top Resorts in Hawaii, with The Fairmont Orchid placeing#17. For Top Resorts in Mexico, The Fairmont Acapulco Princess placed #10 and Fairmont Mayakoba in the Riviera Maya was ranked #17.

TripAdvisor’ Traveler’s Choice Awards - 2012

Fairmont Heritage Place Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco took home the award for Best Private Residence Club, with judges commenting “A top location and a stylish conversion of a former chocolate factory combine with great amenities to make this a superb development.”

Forbes (formerly Mobil Travel Guide) – Annual Star Awards - 2011
Awarded to “outstanding establishments in distinctive settings, with exceptional service that creates a luxury experience”,
The Plaza, A Fairmont Managed Hotel, The Fairmont Olympic Hotel, Seattle and Fairmont Singapore all received a Four Star ranking, along with the Banffshire Club restaurant located in The Fairmont Banff Springs and the Georgian Room at The Fairmont Olympic Hotel who were awarded with Four Stars in the restaurant category. Willow Stream Spas at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, and The Fairmont Banff Springs also received Four Star designations during the awards ceremony.

International Hotel Awards – 2011
In association with Bloomberg Television, the International Hotel Awards identify and reward excellence throughout the global hospitality industry. Receiving top honours for Best New Hotel Construction and Design in China and Best New Hotel Construction and Design in Asia Pacific is Fairmont Beijing, and for Best Convention Hotel in Singapore, was Fairmont Singapore. Fairmont Monte Carlo received 3 recognitions as “Best European Hotel”, “Best hotel in Monaco” and “Highly Commended Spa”.

Smith Travel Research Awards - 2011
Fairmont Heritage Place, Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco was awarded the 2011 Best Performing Luxury Hotel recognition by leading global hospitality industry research company, Smith Travel Research. The annual awards recognize properties for outstanding performance within their segment and Fairmont Heritage, Place Ghirardelli Square took home the honour for the national luxury hotel segment.

Organized by 21st Century Business Herald and China’s first “Business & Travel” magazine, the Golden Pillow award recognizes the exceptional contribution of leading hotels to the development of China’s hospitality industry. For 2011, Fairmont Peace Hotel received this prestigious award, chosen from among 55 companies and 400 candidates.

World Airport Awards - 2011
The Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel received the "Best Airport Hotel - North America" award and placed fifth in the world on the list of Top 10 Airport Hotels list. Conducted by Skytrax, the survey collected responses from more than 11 million questionnaires distributed to passengers around the world, representing over 100 nationalities and covering more than 240 airports worldwide. Airline travellers voted for the world's top 10 airport hotels, with over 860,000 guests rating their hotel experiences.The Skytrax survey was established in 1999, and is held in high esteem for the clarity of the process and rigorously applied rules of total independence.

The Fairmont Hotel Macdonald’s Confederation Lounge has won Best Service Award, with their Harvest Room being named #1 of the Best 25 Things to Eat in Edmonton, for their lobster ravioli dish.

Luxury Brands Status Index (LBSI) – 2011
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts was named a top luxury hotel brand by the Luxury Brands Status Index (LBSI).The New York City-based Luxury Institute conducts the survey, which queried high net-worth consumers from China about their impressions of brands in categories such as fashion and hotels. Survey respondents rated brands on quality, exclusivity, social status and overall ownership experience in addition to price worthiness, willingness to recommend the brand and likelihood of purchase. In China, Fairmont was awarded the top honor in the hotels category.
